AVAILABLE SOON in 2018 - Handbook and Curriculum Outline for the Northern Shaolin/Praying Mantis Kung-Fu System
This handbook contains everything a student needs to get started in their study of kung-fu and Tai Chi Chuan. This book will be available only to members of the Association. Originally written in 2004 upon the founding of the Association, it was expanded to its current form in 2013 and 2014. It is an exhaustive, 400-page resource that's filled with information, history, and hundreds of rare photographs. It is designed to be the kung-fu/Tai Chi student's ultimate reference guide and help maximize their training. While it is ideal for beginner students who are working on their Introductory Training and Level 1, intermediate and advanced students will also find it useful. Students can track their individual progress in the book's Curriculum Outline section and see what's ahead for them in the levels to come.
There's also an extensive five-section Glossary, which allows you to look up many of the individuals, terms, and styles relevant to the Association or otherwise mentioned in the book. As the Association believes it is important to be informed about other martial arts styles (including non-Chinese martial arts), the Glossary also includes a section on many different martial art styles, along with some of their common terminology.
The Handbook will be available to students soon in .PDF format and hardcopy. Also coming soon is the Grasshoppers Handbook, a special version of the Handbook for kids in the Association's Grasshoppers Kids Class Program. The Grasshoppers Handbook will be designed in the style of a comic book.
May, 2018: Also in the works - Official Association T-shirts.
Coming soon... Stay tuned here or on the Association's Facebook page.
